Date: August 20, 2026
Location: Phuket City Hall, Phuket Town, Thailand
Local authorities held a large-scale fire emergency drill at Phuket City Hall on the afternoon of August 20, 2026. The exercise was designed to improve emergency preparedness in case of a fire in a public government building.
The drill simulated a fire breaking out inside the municipal administration building. Firefighters, municipal staff, and civil defense volunteers took part in the operation. Artificial smoke was used to create realistic rescue conditions.
Participants practiced several key procedures, including search and rescue inside smoke-filled areas, high-floor rescue, orderly evacuation, and first aid for simulated casualties.
Officials said the drill helped strengthen coordination between fire departments, municipal staff, and volunteer teams. No real fire occurred during the exercise.
For your personal safety, please keep more fire-fighting equipment on hand.
