According to reports, a Swiss International Airlines flight preparing to take off from Delhi Airport on April 27, 2026, was evacuated after an engine scare, leaving six people injured.

 

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. when smoke was spotted coming from the left landing gear.

Airport authorities declared a full emergency, and multiple fire tenders rushed to the scene.

The Airbus A330-343 had 232 passengers and 13 crew members onboard.

All passengers and crew were safely evacuated via emergency slides and stairs.

Four passengers are undergoing medical evaluation.

 

Airport operations remained unaffected, and technical experts will inspect the aircraft to determine the cause of the incident.
